Australian Aboriginal culture is one of the oldest surviving cultures in the world. Dating back at least 60,000 years, Aboriginal culture has survived due to its peoples’ resilience, strength and ability to adapt over time. Their rich culture has been passed down from generation to generation with many Indigenous cultural heritage sites withstanding the test of time. Throughout the South West Queensland region, many Aboriginal camps and other important sites have been bulldozed, but the significance of these sites, through stories and memories is still commemorated.
